In the Top viewport select the edges as shown in (figure 8 and then goto Modify Panel>Selection>Loop. |

Then deselect the top edges.(figure9) |

Then use the chamfer tool again to get the above result. (figure 10) |

| Then switch to vertex mode and select the top 8 vertex and move up a bit and scale in order.(figure 11) |
